96 coronavirus cases found in Delhi in the last 24 hours, cases less than 100 for the first time in Delhi.
The national capital reported 96 cases of COVID-19 with nine deaths in the last 24 hours, government data shows. And 212 people also recovered. This is the first time that Delhi, which has seen and surmounted three waves of coronavirus infections, logged less than 100 since April last year when India was still in the first phase of the lockdown to control the pandemic situation.
On April 30, Delhi had recorded 76 new Covid-19 cases.
Though the low case came on Republic Day, its overall positivity rate has also been on a decline in recent weeks.
The city's positivity rate, which had shot to about 15 percent at the peak of its third wave of infections throwing up about 8,500 cases in a day, now stands at 0.32 percent.
There are 6,34,325 total cases of coronavirus in Delhi. Of these, 6.2 lakh have fought off the highly infectious disease taking the overall recovery rate to 98 percent.
